Job Title: Purchaser – Cast Resin Transformers

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Purchaser for Cast Resin Transformers to manage the end-to-end procurement process of dry-type transformers for our industrial and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of cast resin transformers, a solid background in electrical procurement, and proven experience in vendor sourcing, negotiation, and order management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure cast resin (dry-type) transformers in accordance with project specifications, technical requirements, and budget constraints.
- Evaluate technical data sheets and coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure equipment compliance with relevant standards (IEC, ANSI, etc.).
- Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze supplier quotations, and lead technical and commercial bid evaluations.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and build a robust vendor base for cast resin transformers.
- Monitor purchase orders, ensure timely delivery, and manage logistics coordination where necessary.
- Track material submittals, type test reports, and ensure compliance with quality control procedures.
- Support project and site teams with technical clarification and resolution of supply-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement documentation, supplier communication, and approvals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in purchasing electrical equipment or transformers.
- Strong understanding of cast resin transformer specifications, manufacturing processes, and applications.
- Familiarity with procurement workflows in EPC or turnkey project environments.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and datasheets.
Preferred:
- Experience with international transformer suppliers and logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and incoterms.
